Uniform affordability

Please don’t worry! Whilst we do ask that the children wear uniform (nursery do not have to but can if they wish), Waberthwaite uniform is quite simple and affordable. It consists of:

• a white polo/collared shirt (any brand and no logo required)

•  grey or black trousers/skirt/shorts/dress (any brand and no logo required)

• white or black socks (any style or brand)

• black shoes or trainers (any style or brand as long as flat heels and predominantly black in colour)

• a royal blue cardigan or jumper (any brand, fabric and no logo required)

All of these items can be bought affordably from any retailer you choose. If you would like a jumper or other uniform item with the school logo these are available from the local stores of Identity or Ferguson’s, but this is NOT compulsory.

We have a large range of well looked after; FREE, second hand uniform available in school - please ask or take from the unmonitored uniform table at information evenings or events.

We request that PE kit is:

• a white or royal blue T-shirt

• black or grey shorts or joggers

• black trainers

PE kit will continue to be worn to school on pe days which is why we request specific colours of these items.

Don’t forget to apply for free school meals and uniform vouchers - you don’t get if you don’t ask! 😊
