British Values
As a school, we use Picture News to explore Christian and British values in a whole school context. Each class teacher then weave both Christian and British Values through our whole school curriculum, alongside some 'stand-alone' class or school events which are used to embed or deepen our understanding.
Remembrance 2023
We were joined by the Royal British Legion and the Royal Naval Association for this years remembrance service. They led an assembly for us on the importance of remembering those who served for us and linked it to our learning of British history. We laid the poppy wreath on the cenotaph together and they played The Last Post whilst we were silent and remembered those who served and gave their lives.
